It’s hard to believe another Spring is upon us, but the signs are in full bloom in Crescent Hill. If you’ve been by the property recently, you’ve noticed construction underway on a lighted walking path along the left side of the House. This project was made possible through a gift from the Sharon Receveur Foundation and is part of the first phase of our grounds improvement plan. The design was a collaboration with Peterson Dumesnil House Foundation, Crescent Hill Garden Club, and Booker Design Collaborative. The new pathway is expected to be completed by the end of March, so please come out and enjoy a sunny stroll or a moonlit walk
by the House soon.

With the warmer days come more outdoor fun and events, one being the annual Frankfort Avenue Easter Parade. The PD House Board of Directors is excited to participate in the Parade again this year on Saturday, March 30. Please come out and support this neighborhood event, and you might even spot the Easter Bunny himself!

We are also bringing  back our free Concert Under the Cupola series, with three summer dates to be announced soon. Please check our social media pages and website for the most up-to-date information on events and happenings at the House.

Lastly, we’d like to express our appreciation and gratitude to Rich and Cheri Gering for their 10 years of stellar service as Caretakers of the House. As they move on to their next chapter, we welcome Eric and Michelle as the new Caretakers. It takes a village to maintain a 155-year-old home, and we are grateful for everyone who has contributed to the care of our beloved PD House over the years. We look forward to seeing you soon around the House!
