Join in on this fun and delicious event! Contestants must be home/non-professional bakers. This event is judged on taste, presentation, originality / creativity and baking techniques. After the winner is announced, cake slices will be offered for a donation to the Peterson Dumesnil House.
The Cake Baking Contest will once again be held at the Crescent Hill 4th of July Festival. This year’s event will be on July 4th from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm on the front porch of the Peterson Dumesnil House. Home bakers can show off their skills by creating a cake of their choice. Four judges will choose a winner based upon presentation, originality/creativity, taste and baking technique. Cakes need to be home baked and bakers must supply a copy of the recipe. Welcome back to our celebrity chef judges, Cynthia Craig (Sugarfx Bakery), Robin Garr (food critic/blogger), and Dawn Urrutia (Georgia’s Sweet Potato Pie Company)!
